Round 5 SCG Fire Station Grants Announced

Three more fire departments will build new fire stations, thanks to $2.3 million in grants awarded by DHS/FEMA.

The ARRA Assistance to Firefighters Fire Station Construction Grants (SCG) provides grants for departments to build new or modify existing fire stations to enhance response capabilities and protect communities from fire-related hazards.

The 3 SCG winners, announced October 1, 2010, are:

• Eufaula Fire Department, Eufaula, AL, $360,978
  
• Jackson Township Fire Department, Grove City, OH, $1,412,920
  
• Paincourtville Volunteer Fire Department, Paincourtville, LA, $547,400
